Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

Following a string of social media posts that hint at it, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini has finally revealed its first NFT (non-fungible token) project. Space Key was developed by a non-publicized artist, and based on cutting-edge carbon fiber composite materials that were sent to the International Space Station as research material, is a project that has been announced by Lamborghini.

Italian supercar maker Lamborghini is dipping its toes into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The new project, dubbed the Space Key - is a work of art that was that was created in collaboration with an unknown artist. The unique NFT is a physical object which connects to a unique digital artwork that is accessible via a QR code that is located on the back. The project is limited to five pieces and will be auctioned in the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made of carbon composite material that Lamborghini, as part a research project in 2019 sent to the International Space Station. The carbon fiber was then created into a distinctive artwork when it returned to Earth. This allows owners to verify the authenticity, scarcity and the trackability of their tokens through the internet.

Lamborghini is taking this unique approach to art a step further by working with NFT PRO - an all-white label NFT solution for businesses. In the coming weeks, Lamborghini will share details about this exciting venture. This includes the names of the artists who are unknown and a timeline for auction.

The physical element of Space Key

Space Key consists of five units. It was constructed using a physical piece of the carbon fiber composite that was shipped to the ISS in 2019. Each NFT will be equipped with an QR code that connects it to a unique digital art work by the same artist. The digital artwork

After months of posts on social media hints at it, luxury car manufacturer Lamborghini has finally announced its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. It was created in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm) the "collector's item" is limited to five units and will soon be auctioned off.

At the center of each Space Key is a block made of a high-tech carbon fire composite material that was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After returning to Earth the block was engraved with QR codes that link to the digital component in the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs a few seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Each of the five images was filmed by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner used a balloon with a camera, which took each of the individual shots which were then combined into the final image. The result is an out-of-this world image that reveals the beauty of the Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic look of the car rising from it. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned off in the near future, but there is no specific date or location as of yet.

The auction

With the tagline 'to the moon', luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has entered the world of non-fungible tokens (NFT) by launching a hypnotic project that was developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm).
